愛因斯坦百年預言獲證實 專家：重力波存在
美國科學家週四宣佈，首次直接偵測到物理學家愛因斯坦在100年前預言的重力波，完成廣義相對論實驗驗證的最後一塊拼圖，亦為觀測宇宙提供新途徑。
愛因斯坦1916年發表廣義相對論時，預言了重力波的存在。廣義相對論其他預言如重力令光線彎曲、水星近日點移動和重力紅移等，都先後獲證實，唯獨重力波的存在只有間接證據。
德國普朗克重力物理研究所物理學家艾倫表示，宇宙誕生後頭20萬年光不能自由穿梭，但重力波可以，觀測重力波可大大增進對宇宙太初狀況的瞭解。
